Manage Overdraft Services

ESL offers several helpful ways to manage and avoid overdrawing your checking account.

Cash Reserve Account

A Cash Reserve Account is an overdraft line of credit that automatically covers an amount up to your limit if you exceed your checking account balance. You can choose to use it for specific purchases or unplanned expenses.

ESL Courtesy Pay1

ESL Courtesy Pay is an overdraft service that works in conjunction with an ESL Cash Reserve Account or CheckOK. ESL Courtesy Pay allows eligible checking account holders to overdraw their checking account up to a specified limit in order to avoid bounced checks, returned automatic withdrawal (ACH) and ESL Bill Payments. If you register, ESL Courtesy Pay will also cover ESL Visa Debit Card transactions.

1 Fee for each overdraft is up to $5.00. The overdraft fee can be imposed on checks, ACH and Bill Pay transactions that exceed the balance in your checking account and ESL Visa Debit Card transactions, if you have registered. You must bring your account to a positive end-of-day available balance at least once every 10 days. ESL will not pay an overdraft if you do not meet the eligibility requirements.
